A Never-Before-Heard Conversation Between a Holocaust Survivor and a Nazi Descendant (May, 2024)

In May, 2024, Conversation Builds Character sponsored a never-before-heard conversation between Holocaust survivor, Oskar Jakob, and granddaughter of the creator of the V-1 flying bomb, Suzanne Rico, at the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum.  Jakob was forced into slave labor and worked on the bomb while imprisoned in the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp.  Attended by 300 participants, Jakob and Rico shared publicly for the first time their very unique story of trauma, forgiveness and hope.  Scott Miller, former Director of Curatorial Affairs at the United States Holocaust Museum, moderated the conversation.
